A collection of materials highlighting the history of Badminton, focused on items that are not available elsewhere but also including collections of existing items curated for user convenience. Research Serious research has been done by various groups over the years. A common and very difficult topic is flight characteristics of shuttlecocks. A sampling of research is included here- much more can be found elsewhere.

International Badminton
BAE provided the de-facto governance of Badminton until the founding of the IBF (International Badminton Federation) which was sited in England. In 2006 the organization was renamed BWF (Badminton World Federation) and moved to Malaysia. There have been various publications both by the official organizations and other private groups.

There have been three governing bodies for Badminton in the United States. ABA (American Badminton Association) existed until 1977 and was then reformed as USBA (United States Badminton Association). USBA remained until 1997 when it became USAB (USA Badminton).
