Ignatius Rusli
ASSISTANT RESIDENT & OLYMPIC TEAM COACH.
Coach Ignatius Rusli came to the Colorado Springs Olympic
Training Center from his native Indonesia in February, 1995 to
become the Assistant National Team Coach. Rusli, a former elite
badminton athlete in Indonesia, uses his Asian style of power and
speed to compliment coach Sterner's European style, giving U.S.
badminton athletes the best of both worlds. As a player, Rusli
was a member of the 1991, 1993, and 1994 U.S. National Teams. He
reached the semifinals in the men's singles at the 1993 U.S.
Nationals.
Rusli graduated with a business degree from National University
in 1994.
