Stanford Open 2009
Date:
Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March
1st
Events:
Four flights for Men's Doubles, Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles
Two flights (A/B, C/D) for Women's Doubles and Women's Singles
Consolation Bracket for all events
No player may enter in more than two flights per event or jump in flights (ie: sign up for A and D)
Players in multiple flights must play with the same partner
Players who sign up for multiple flights and make it to semifinals in the higher flight will be automatically disqualified from the lower flight.
Players who do not show up for their event will still be charged registration fees.
** Tournament committee reserves the right to reduce the number of flights or tournament.
Scoring:
This
is an individual competition run as a single-elimination tournament
with consolation bracket.
All matches will be played best of three
games to 21 points with rally scoring. The tournament committee
reserves the right to change the scoring format of consolation
matches to one game to 21 points if necessary.

Entry
Deadline: All forms must be received by 11 pm Sunday February 22,
2009.
Late entries will be accepted at the tournament
committee's discretion and charged a $10 late penalty.
Fees:
$15
for first event and $10 for each additional event, per person.
Fees
will be due on the day of the tournament. Please make checks payable
to "Stanford Badminton"
Awards:
Trophies
will be awarded to the winner, runner up and consolation winner of
each event.

Matches will
begin promptly at 10:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Parking:
Parking labeled A or B parking is free on Saturday and Sunday. The most convenient parking will be along Serra St or Galvez St.
Parking may be hard to find, please
allow ample time to find parking before the tournament begins.
