Kuala Lumpur, May 17: Denmark qualified for the Uber Cup final for the first time in 40 years by defeating South Korea 3-0 in the semifinal this afternoon.
Camilla Martin continued her winning ways when she brushed aside Kim Ji-hyun 11-5, 11-7.
However, the reigning world champion looked shaky in her second game making numerous unforced errors when she was under no pressure.
However she recovered fast enough to wrap up the match to give the Danes a 1-0 lead.
Mette Sorensen stretched Denmark's lead to two by defeating Lee Kyung-won 11-8, 11-3.
Helene Kirkegaard-Rikke Olsen were in fiery form when they thrashed Lee Hyo-jung-Chung jae-hee 15-5, 15-6 to send the Danes into their third final in the Uber Cup history.
Their first was in 1957 and the second in 1960, losing on both occasions to the USA by 1-6 and 2-5.
The match today was stopped after the third game as under the tournament rules, the subsequent two matches will not be played when a result has been achieved.
Denmark's coach Kenneth Larsen said the Danes knew before the match that they would win.
"But we knew that it would be difficult," he said in a post match conference.
Larsen said their entry to the final speaks highly of how united and supportive the Danish players are.
"We have our men standing by their women every match and vice-versa. We have a collective team and not one that is individualistic," he said.
The Danes take on China, the winner of the other semifinal played in the evening.
China defeated Indonesia 3-0 to qualify for the final.
