played in Copenhagen, Denmark this week (Team USA was playing in Group A of
the fourth division and was trying to win promotion to the third division):

(Mixed Doubles - Mark Manha and Yeping Tang lost to Morten Bundgaard and Santi

Men's Singles - Kevin Han beat Markus Arnet 2-0
Women's Singles - Yeping Tang beat Corinne Joerg 2-0
Men's Doubles - Mark Manha and Chris Hales lost to Thomas Wapp and Remy

Women's Doubles - Lily Chen and Elie Wu lost to Corinne Joerg and Fabienne

USA beat Czechia 4-1

USA versus Iceland - May 12 (Names of USA players first)
USA beat Iceland 3-2
(Men's Singles - Kevin Han beat Tomas Wiborg 2-0
Women's Singles - Yeping Tang beat Sara Jonsdottir 2-0
Women's Doubles - Lily Chen and Elie Wu lost to Brynja Pettursdottir and
Vigdis Asgeirsdottir 0-2
Men's Doubles - Mark Manha and Kevin Han beat Broddi Kristjansson and Tryggvi

Mixed Doubles - Chris Hales and Yeping Tang lost to Svein Solvasson and Drifa

Team USA, Iceland and Switzerland finished with identical 2 win - 1 loss
records. Iceland had the better games won-games lost ratio which is used as
a tiebreaker and gained the right to play for promotion to the third division
against Wales, the winner of Group 4B (Wales beat Iceland in the promotion
playoff).
Team USA came in third behind Switzerland after the tiebreaking system was
applied and they will play Group 4B third-placer Poland tomorrow to decide
fifth and sixth places in the fourth division.
