Club Status
Membership
The current season begins on Monday, September 16, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
The club operates every Monday and Wednesday evening from 19:00 to 22:00, except when the school is closed.
The cost to join the club is $115 per member.
No refund for cancellation of membership will be made after the season begins.
The guest fee is $5 for an evening of play.
Guests will be eligible to play if there are fewer than 35 members playing.
If a 35th member arrives, a guest will be asked to leave and will receive a full refund of the guest fee.

Club News
- Item: Our 2019-2020 season begins on September 16th.
It will be fun to see the familiar faces and meet the new members. Have a smashing time, everyone!
- Item: All participants must leave the school by by 22:10.
Our use of the facility in the evening ends at 22:00. All play should cease by 21:50. Use the remaining time to store the club's equipment,
gather your belongings, and leave the building.
- Item: Indoor shoes only!
"Outdoor" footwear is not allowed in the gymnasium. Leave boots and street shoes outside the gymnasium.
The soles of your badminton shoes must be soft and non-marking.
- Item: Eye safety for Junior members is required.
All junior members must bring and wear eye protection. The Club does not provide protective eyewear.
Junior members who do not have eye protection will not be permitted to play.

The Hillcrest Badminton Club has been operating in Ottawa for over 30 years.
We provide a friendly environment for exercise and competition for players of various ages and skill levels.
Play is on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 22:00. All games are doubles, unless numbers permit otherwise.
A game wheel is used to ensure that everyone has a fair share of court time and to vary the
pairings from game to game. We supply the yellow Yonex Mavis 300 brand of shuttle.
We use the 21-point scoring system.
Club Location
We use the well-lit 4-court gym at
Hillcrest High School,
1900 Dauphin Road.
The school is in the Alta Vista area of Ottawa, just off of Smyth Road.
Parking
is on the north side of Hillcrest High School, facing Smyth road.
We play in the upper, large gymnasium. Members must use the main entrance of the school, facing Dauphin.
