The newly formed Elliott Bay Badminton Club, formerly known as the Northwest Center has engaged the rights for a full time badminton facility at the Northwest Center.
The Elliott Bay Badminton Club opens its doors on October 1st, 1996 to the public for beginners to tournament caliber players. We will be offering classes to beginners and training for both junior and senior tournament players. Our club is proud to announce that JOY KITZMILLER x-National Champion and x-Olympian at the Barcelona, Spain games is the head coach and facility director. She will be promoting and developing new Badminton champions from the Northwest at the Elliott Bay Badminton Club.
We would like to make every effort to support this sport and all future badminton players at this NEW club. In doing so we are preparing news releases and two to three annual tri-folded color brochure to be distributed to 38 junior high school, 24 senior high school, and 6 colleges and universities in the Greater Seattle area. We will be targeting physical education coaches and distributing 10,000 of these brochures to their students athletes.
NEWS: 970330: We now boast the reigning 35 Senior National men's doubles team of Geoff Stensland and Rob Hankins. Geoff also defeated Imre. handily in Portland, OR to take the 35 Senior National men's singles title. It's a pretty good club with a high standard of play. Rob Brown (102233.2516@CompuServe.COM).
